Welcome to my Teacher Portfolio. I am a student at Southern Utah University about to get my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I am passionate about teaching and helping students become the best version of themselves. As you look through my portfolio you will see the ISTE standards for educators, along with some examples. I am so happy you at here.
Teaching Philosophy
I believe that education should empower students to become lifelong learners and critical thinkers who are prepared to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. As an educator, I strive to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued, respected, and challenged to reach their full potential. I believe that learning should be student-centered, engaging, and relevant to students' lives. I hope to have a collaborative classroom culture where students feel encouraged to explore, question, and discover knowledge through hands-on experiences, inquiry based learning, and meaningful projects.
I am committed to embracing diversity and promoting equity in education by recognizing and celebrating the unique strengths, backgrounds, and perspectives of each individual student. By cultivating a culture of empathy, understanding, and respect, I hope to create an environment where all students feel safe to take risks, make mistakes, and grow both academically and personally. I believe in the power of technology as a tool to enhance learning and expand educational opportunities. By integrating technology effectively into the curriculum, I strive to empower students to become responsible digital citizens who are equipped to navigate the digital landscape with confidence and integrity.
Overall, my teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that education is not merely about imparting knowledge, but rather about inspiring a love for learning, fostering critical thinking skills, and empowering students to become compassionate, empathetic, and socially responsible members of society.
